A: Not necessarily.  Any teacher, counselor or administrator at your school can act as a reviewer.  Students are able to choose any administrator as long as this person works at the school they attend and are not related to them.

Q: What are the qualifications for being a reviewer?

A: A reviewer must work at the school the student is attending, know the applicant and have the ability to confirm the data, and cannot be related to the student.

Q: What should I be looking for in my review?

A: High school personnel are asked to read through the entire application, paying particular attention to the accuracy of the students’ self-reported information, as well as providing an extra set of eyes to be sure the student has not overlooked responses.

Q: What do I do if I find an error in the students’ application?

  1. The reviewer has the ability to change the students’ application status from “Complete” back to “In-progress”.  This is done by clicking on the More Actions drop down and selecting Allow applicant to update responses.
  2. Contact the student immediately to discuss the error and how you feel it should be corrected.
  3. Once this is done, the student must log back into their application, make the necessary changes, and click Submit again.
  4. Upon submission by the student, the reviewer must log back in again, review the application for accuracy and finally click Submit.

Q:  I submitted my review of a students’ application but their application status still reads “Complete” on the review page?

A:  Upon returning to the review page the reviewer will need to click Refresh on your browser’s tool bar in order for the status to update from “Complete” to “Reviewed”.  If, after refreshing the review screen, the application status still remains at “Complete”, go back into the students’ application and resubmit the review and refresh again.  If this procedure does not work, please click here to send an email to customer.

Q: Why is the Reviewer deadline one week past the application deadline? (Application deadline, October 1, Reviewer deadline, October 6.)
