High school athletes—and the coaches, teachers, counselors, and administrators who support them—know that teamwork makes great things possible. Like the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program, for example. Wendy’s is proud to work with partners who go the extra mile to help us recognize seniors who are at the top of their classes, displaying community leadership, academic excellence, and athletic achievement.

Meet our Program Partners

Members of New York’s Downtown Athletic Club’s Heisman Trophy® Committee helped Wendy’s create the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program—the only other program to associated with the Heisman name. Each year, the Heisman Trophy Trust awards the Heisman Memorial Trophy to the most outstanding college football player in the United States.

Wendy’s and The Heisman Trophy have quite a few things in common. We share a mission to recognize the pursuit of excellence, a desire to provide greater opportunities for youth, and a commitment to growing a sense of community responsibility in our nation’s young people.

That’s one reason why the annual Wendy’s High School Heisman National Awards banquet is held each December in New York City during the annual Heisman Trophy weekend. Throughout the weekend, several dozen former winners of The Heisman Memorial Trophy return to welcome the newest members of the Heisman family.

ACT is best known for its college entrance exam, the ACT Assessment. A leader in the educational testing and services field, ACT provides program management services for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Program. Expertise in managing scholarship programs and scoring and managing assessments makes ACT the ideal partner to manage the Wendy’s High School Heisman program.
