What did winning the Heisman mean to you?

"Winning the Wendy's High School Heisman has been such an inspiration in my life. What is so great about the program is that it encourages young people to be successful in all aspects of their lives, whether in the classroom, on the field, or out in their community. For me, winning the Wendy's Heisman has instilled life-long goals of striving for success. Coming back to New York every year and meeting the national finalists and seeing the amazing things they are doing in their lives, motivates me to continue pursuing my own goals."

What advice do you have for this year's finalist and their families?

"To the finalists, I would tell them to enjoy the weekend. See and do everything you can and take a lot of pictures! You will be glad to always have the memories of such a special weekend. Get to know each other and try to keep in touch once the weekend is over. You never know where your paths will lead you. To the families, I would tell them to relax and a wonderful time in New York City. You have worked hard for the past 18 years raising and supporting wonderful children. You deserve a break! "
